Planet Editing’s success in academic publishing is best reflected in the story of Jyh- Woei Lin. Dr. Lin is now a research fellow at National Cheng Kung University’s Dept. of Earth Science. He came to Planet Editing with an idea that Principal Component Analysis could theoretically be used in real time to predict earthquakes. He had little experience of writing academic papers and was working on his own to prove his theory. After analyzing and editing his work, his papers were published in some of the most prestigious journals in space research including: Advances in Space Research, International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation, International Journal of Remote Sensing, and Computers & Geosciences among many other high impact journals. His successful publication rate helped him in securing a good future in academia.
