There is no set pricing on Planet Editing. Buyers offer work online and sellers (editors and translators) quote on that work. Buyers can then decide to choose an editor or translator based on price, qualifications, experience, and Planet Editing ranking (casual, professional or Planet Editing approved).

Cost of project posting:
Buyers can purchase project postings online at a minimum cost of 3USD per posting. All new members are eligible for 5 free postings to get them started on the site by contacting us once you have joined.
For Sellers of Editing and Translating Services

Casual Members
Planet Editing charges 33US cents per quote. All new Casual members of Planet Editing are eligible for 30 free quotes by contacting us. We also offer promotions to provide free quotes.
Professional and Planet Editing Approved Members
Professional and Planet Editing Approved members have unlimited quoting rights.
Professional membership costs 60USD per year. All new professional members receive one year free annual membership by contacting us once you have joined.
Quality Control
Service buyers can choose to verify the quality of an editor or translator's work by contacting Planet Editing Support at the completion of a project or after sample editing and translation requests.
Editor and Translator Rankings
Planet Editing service providers are ranked as either: Casual, Professional, or Planet Editing Approved.
Professionals have two years verifiable full-time experience in their specialty areas.
Planet Editing Approved service providers must be professionals with a minimum of three projects completed onsite and high ratings from buyer surveys. Planet Editing Approved status will be considered for casual editors that also achieve high ratings from buyer surveys.

Step 2 Get 5 free postings by contacting us when you join. Later you can purchase project postings at 5 for just 15USD -- all major credit cards accepted. (Get 10 free postings by creating a link and joining before June 31 2010).
Step 3 Click 'Add New Project'
Step 4 Enter your projects details.
Step 5 Choose to make a project open to all Planet Editing's professionals or limit bidding to your favorite editors or translators.
Being a Professional Editor or Translator on Planet Editing
By registering as a professional editor or translator, buyers will be able to view your professional status and invite you to bid exclusively on projects. It also makes you eligible to become Planet Editing Approved. That allows you to participate on all Planet Editing tenders, and proves to buyers that you have received consistently high ratings from clients. Professional editors and translators must have two years of verifiable experience in their specialty area(s).

Step 2 Notify Planet Editing that you have joined through our contact form and receive a one year free subscription (worth 60 USD) to Planet Editing as a Professional Editor.
Step 3 Learn about how to quote on projects using the bidding guides on your Welcome page.
Step 4 Click ‘All Available Projects’
Step 5 Find work.
Being a Casual Editor or Translator on Planet Editing
Planet Editing provides casual editors the chance to establish a web presence as an English editor or translator. This will give you the opportunity to create a web-based income and establish new clients. You are eligible to bid on all open projects.

Step 2 Notify Planet Editing that you have joined through our contact form and receive 30 free bids. This will allow you to start quoting on work immediately.
